Angels for Angela

For many decades, Angela has helped thousands of needy people in metropolitan Kansas City. Angela is known for her big heart and ability to bring communities together to support the less fortunate. Angela was the driving force for the MyARTS that helped thousands of young people, especially adjudicated youth from Jackson County Family Court. Angela hosted food drives and special dinners for homeless veterans, Angela worked tirelessly to help others who needed support to get back on their feet or realize the greatness in themselves.

Today, Angela needs our help. We are coming together to support a friend financially and lift her up in prayer.  Disaster struck not only her home, her car, her finances, but also her physically.  Angela has been working with Children’s Mercy Environmental Unit, Healthy Housing, Shriners Hospital and their independent doctors to treat what has been diagnosed as Multiple Chemical Hypersensitivity due to a serious toxic injury with multiple complications.  Under the instruction of this team, Angela and her son had to move from their home into an eco-friendly house with little of their belongings.

As many of the items in their old home were exposed to mold and toxins, Angela is starting over. The funds raised will help them replace lost furnishings, clothing, kitchenware, and therapeutic equipment utilized for her son’s rare disease in which he was diagnosed at 18 months old.  Once they are settled, our friend will also be undergoing surgeries. Angela has the daunting task of needing so many things and prioritizing her family’s basic needs.

All donations are tax deductible and every penny will help our friend. ArtsTech will be managing donations to help make this very difficult journey they have endured, perhaps a little simpler.  Upon making a donation with a credit card online, put in the memo line: “Angels for Angela”. You can also mail a check to Angels for Angela, ArtsTech, 1522 Holmes Street, KCMO 64108. ArtsTTo The Board,

My devotion to the board, our kiddos, and to ArtsTech is unwavering but, I am grappling with some personal matters and have needed to find a replacement for ArtsTech.  Omar has graciously offered to take my place beginning at this February's Board Meeting.  This will also afford the board to elect a long-term replacement who can take over at the beginning of the organization's new fiscal year in July.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be involved with ArtsTech, to meet all of you, and to learn so much along the way.

ech will manage all donations on behalf of Angela.

We ask you to join us in raising Angela and her son up in prayer so they can begin a wonderful new chapter for them. We also praise God for all he has done and continues to do for this special person and family. “'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. '” — Jeremiah 29:11. Angela has the heart to continuously give and is not in position to ask for your support. That is why we are asking you to join us in helping. Your donation is sincerely appreciated.  Blessings to you and yours.
